Jaclyn in Color

For me, photography is a way that I can represent my emotions in the strongest manner that I know possible. My passion for photography grows from being able to capture a single moment in time, and being able to show others my point of view. As a consequence, I often wonder about angles and how cropping in to a closer perspective can change an image to evoke a more intense emotion than its original capability. I believe that in today’s society, it is a person’s facial expressions that are consistently overlooked. It is often instinctive for a person to attempt to hide their true feelings. In situations where someone permits their vulnerability to show is when they truly allow themselves to be seen for who they are. It is when moments such as that are captured that I feel the most successful as a photographer.
